The secondary girls soccer “futbol” team has taken the Totonicapán department (state) championship. This is not only a first for the school but for the town. This team will represent the entire region at the national playoffs in June. The great accomplishment was marked by staging a parade through town stopping at the municipal building. The mayor and other dignitaries expressed their civic pride and contributed to the costs of moving the team to the national competition.
